I'm using the Youtube-data-API to upload videos on my youtube channel, I've modified the chunk size to 3750000, hoping for faster uploads since I have a reliable interenet connection.I use the python sample code provided and converted it to python 3 using the help of a youtube video.
Code I used -
#!/usr/bin/pythonimport httplib2import osimport randomimport sysimport timefrom googleapiclient.discovery import buildfrom googleapiclient.errors import HttpErrorfrom googleapiclient.http import MediaFileUploadfrom oauth2client.client import flow_from_clientsecretsfrom oauth2client.file import Storagefrom oauth2client.tools import argparser, run_flow# Explicitly tell the underlying HTTP transport library not to retry, since# we are handling retry logic ourselves.httplib2.RETRIES = 1# Maximum number of times to retry before giving up.MAX_RETRIES = 10# Always retry when these exceptions are raised.RETRIABLE_EXCEPTIONS = (httplib2.HttpLib2Error, IOError)# Always retry when an apiclient.errors.HttpError with one of these status# codes is raised.RETRIABLE_STATUS_CODES = [500, 502, 503, 504]# The CLIENT_SECRETS_FILE variable specifies the name of a file that contains# the OAuth 2.0 information for this application, including its client_id and# client_secret. Even after the script has ran and it says the Video ID '*****' has been uploaded. I go on my creator studio page and its stuck at uploaded 0%. This happens for longer videos ( around 5-6hrs ), the short ones ( Around 1.5hrs ) are uploaded properly.
